Best of Cornwall

a Base-camp sea kayaking trip

After months of lockdown, I'm sure like us, you are yearning for an adventure. This trip will provide you with a healthy dose of fresh salty sea air, the feeling of waves beneath your kayak, sand between your toes, and open ocean that gives the term 'social distancing' a whole new meaning.

Our 6-day trip is a great way to get back on the water and an opportunity to have an amazing adventure.

Location

Dates

The best bit about base-camp expeditions is the freedom to paddle any stretch of coast we want. In calm weather, we might head to lands end to paddle beneath impressive cliffs and explore deep caves. Or, take in the most southerly point of the UK, the Lizard Peninsular. If there's swell forecast then we will get to paddle some of the stunning estuaries on the south coast, like the Helford Passage.

We will get to show you the BEST kayaking Cornwall has to offer.

Who's this trip for?

This 6-day trip is for anyone with some previous kayaking experience. We will have 5 full days of sea kayaking, each day choosing the best section of the Cornish coastline to suit the weather conditions and the group's needs.

We will be camping at a local campsite with showers and toilet facilities, each member of the team will get their own tent, in keeping with social distancing guidelines. Individuals can use their own vehicle for transport or, I can offer transport for up to 3 team members with comfortable space.

Pack a Cozzi because you are very likely to be persuaded by Erin to take a wild swim at lunch, especially when the weather's good and water is inviting.

We will carry fishing lines, and maybe even catch something to cook up for dinner one evening. All cooking equipment will be provided for individuals to cook and prepare their food. One evening we will have a BBQ, maybe even fish and chips or a local pub meal. I can guarantee there will also be a Cornish pasty opportunity or two, for the real Cornish lunch experience.
