Sea kayaking Isles of Scilly

Isles of Scilly Expedition

GUIDED SEA KAYAK EXPEDITION
ISLES OF SCILLY

The Isles of Scilly is a rugged archipelago which lies around 30 miles off the southwest tip of Cornwall—made up of five larger inhabited islands fringed with white sandy beaches and chunky granite cliffs. In addition, hundreds of smaller rocky islands surround the archipelago, home to thriving wildlife and a feast for any adventurous kayakers.

Life on the islands moves at a slower pace. Time is spent enjoying the shallow blue lagoons, pristine beaches or meandering along the many footpaths. The island's tranquillity and simple beauty capture people's hearts, and many visitors fall in love which these little islands.

WIldlife

The Isles of Scilly boast unique wildlife due to their isolated, almost frost-free maritime climate.

There is an abundance of grey seals, seabirds such as Manx shearwaters and puffins, and a rich marine environment with dolphins, whales, and various fish.

The islands serve as a crucial staging post for migratory birds and are home to distinctive flora thriving in diverse habitats like heathland, dunes, and rockpools.

Camping

We use a base-camp style to explore the islands. Our favourite campsite is on St.Martins, tucked behind the dunes, a beautiful sun trap, and less than a two-minute walk to the beach for a swim.

The campsite has hot showers, toilets, water and charging facilities. Evoke will provide three-person tents between two, so you will have plenty of room, and our tipi will offer shelter if the great British weather decides to join us.

Testimonial

"Brilliant trip on the Scilly Isles - good balance of relaxation and exertion exploring the beautiful clear waters of the Islands. Erin is a great team leader!"
